Page counts vary, depending on the bindery method, trim size and paper being used. Generally books can't be any thicker than 1.75 inches.
Our minimum page count is 16 pages for paperback and coil bound books. Saddle stitch books can be smaller. With hard bound the minimum page count varies by the page count and the thickness of the paper, so please consult our Print Consultant.
We prefer to receive all files in PDF format. We do however offer a basic word document to PDF conversion service for an additional fee.
No, this is your responsibility. We do a Standard Review (free). We review:
• The resolution of images
• Trim sizes and margins
• Page number placement
• Embedding of fonts

Additional changes resulting from proofreading and/or editing will apply.

Font embedding makes sure all the fonts used in a file are stored inside its properties – this applies to all fonts, even common fonts like Arial, Helvetica and Times New Roman. If the fonts are not embedded, your type could reflow or get replaced with a substitute font, which will distort your type and make your book unreadable.
We use color calibration software for our digital printing presses, but all digital printers view and print differently. The best way to make sure that the color comes out exactly as you want it is to order a physical proof (charge applies) for review before printing.
You can obtain an ISBN number from Bowker. Bowker is the only USA agency that can issue ISBN numbers. Other printers and publishers may offer ISBN numbers in their services but keep in mind, whoever purchases the number is listed as the publisher as ISBN numbers are non-transferrable.
